Marisa Azaret Psy.D., is a contributor on medical matters for CNN en Español. She presents the network’s weekly health and wellbeing show Vive la Salud. Dr. Azaret is also Director of the Division of Psychology and member of the medical faculty at Nicklaus Children's Hospital (former Miami Children’s Hospital).
Dr. Azaret has a doctorate in clinical psychology and has been engaged in the practice of pediatric psychology over the past 30 years. In addition, Dr. Azaret has served for many years as a producer and host of programs and segments in the area of mental health in Spanish-language media, including Univision, Telemundo, and Mega TV, among others.
She has received the Emmy Award for her work both on camera and as a writer and producer. She has been the recipient of the prestigious Sentinel Award by the Hollywood Health & Society, a program of the USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center “honoring TV shows and movies that educate and motivate viewers to make choice for healthier and safer lives”
Born in Cuba, she received her doctorate at Nova University in Florida in 1986. She speaks Spanish and English.
