Elizabeth Pérez is an sports anchor for CNN en Español and host of the interview show “Triunfadores del Deporte”. She also takes part in the sports events for CNN International’s World Sports, the sister network of CNN en Español, viewed worldwide. Pérez joined CNN en Español in March of 2011. Since joining CNN en Español, Elizabeth has covered a variety of sporting events. She has also presented special shows for the network: Vive el Golf, Herencia Hispana, Listo Para Jugar (English and Spanish), Resumen Navideño Deportivo, and Tras el Oro.
In 2016 Elizabeth and the Café CNN team were the recipients of the highest award from the National Academy of Arts and Science of Television (NATAS) in the U.S., the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Morning Program in Spanish. This is her second Emmy after the one she won in 2008 for Best on Camera News Talent for her work at Telemundo News.
Born in Cuba and raised in Venezuela, Pérez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Bicentenaria de Aragua and earned a Master’s in Journalism at Florida International University. She speaks Spanish, English and Italian.
