    Andrés Oppenheimer


    Andrés Oppenheimer, of Argentinean origin, was a 1987 Pulitzer Prize co-winner, along with the journalism team of South Florida newspaper, The Miami Herald. In turn, he was distinguished with two of the most prestigious awards in Spanish-language journalism: the Premio Ortega y Gasset of the newspaper El País in Madrid in 1993, and the Premio Rey de España given by the EFE agency and the King of Spain in 2001. The Forbes Media Guide also selected Oppenheimer as one of the 500 most important journalists of the United States in 1993, and by Poder Magazine as one of the 100 most powerful figures in Latin America in 2002.
