    Russ Altman, MD, PhD is a physician, engineer and scientist at Stanford University, where he has served as Chair of Bioengineering and is currently the Director of the Program in Biomedical Informatics. He is past president of the International Society for Computational Biology and the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics. He has advised the FDA and NIH. He is a founder of Personalis Inc and his research focuses on how drugs work and how we can use them optimally.
